Welcome to our website, which is intended
for use by parents of children currently at the School and by those who may
be considering sending their children here.

'OUTSTANDING SCHOOL' - OFSTED 2009
Greatwood Community Primary and Nursery School
is in Skipton, North Yorkshire, part of Craven District. The town is in
Airedale, and is surrounded by the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with many
of its well-known features within easy reach. It has a castle, and the fully
operative Leeds-Liverpool Canal runs through the centre of the town.
The School is part of the North Yorkshire County
Council Education Service, catering for children from 3-11.
| Greatwood is one of only 9 Enhanced Mainstream Schools (EMS)
throughout North Yorkshire and has been enhanced as a centre for good practice in dealing with challenging behaviour.
